TCG News: All the News that Fit to Digital Print

Monster Truckers, News

It’s been awhile since I did an overall news update of what’s going on at Table Cat Games. Well, let’s fix that!

Ad for monster truckers featuring monsters who look like truck drivers and text saying "Monster Truckers: Long Haul into the Worstlands Funding on Backerkit. Ending soon.

Monster Truckers

Monster Truckers: Long Haul into the Worstlands is in it’s final days on Backerkit! We’re very close to funding, at about 73% at this time of writing without a little less than a week to go. There’s always a surge at the end of these things, and mathmatically it will be enough to get us past the finish line.

I’m looking forward to the campaign wrapping up, so I can get to work on making the game. A good amount of it is written, but I’d like to do a lot more to add to the world and expand it a bit before getting into layout.

You can back it here and help get us funded sooner!

Street Wolves

Turbo Dreams

The biggest news we have for Street Wolves is Turbo Dreams is coming really soon. It’s a collection of four adventures that plunge the Street Wolves into exciting and dangerous scenarios. It’ll be first available as a PDF then later as a POD on Drive Thru RPG and a higher quality digital print on the Table Cat Games shop.

Three of the adventures were exclusive to the Kickstarter, with one of those being ultra exclusive. The third adventure is a never before seen one shot that features a lot of action.

Archetypes Volume 2

I personally find the first release of Archetypes Vol. 1 to be incredibly useful with a bunch of pre-made characters to get people into Street Wolves quickly. That’s why I’ve teamed up with Mike Todd again to release a Volume 2. This volume is going to have a few characters who are a bit more on the wild side, to reflect the tastes of players who might want some more flamboyant, less gritty characters. There’s also going to be at least four characters that have Vapor powers, where the first release doesn’t have any.

Finally, there’s very likely going to be a couple extra Hinderances added that didn’t make the Street Wolves core book.

Dead Hand

Dead Hand, the Street Wolves campaign that was born out of the Kickstarter, is coming along. There’s not much new to report. I’m waiting on some of the writing and need to get back to continuing the layout. I’m really hoping to get this one wrapped up (at least in PDF form), by mid to late summer.

Convention Schedule

Here’s the current Table Cat Games schedule for vending at conventions in 2025. Hope to see you at one:

TTRPG SPOTLIGHT

I’m going to try to make more of an effort to highlight other tabletop creators out there. I talk about my own stuff way too much. So in that spirit, I’d like to take a moment to share, Galactic & Going Rogue by Jumpgate Games.

As a big fan of Star Wars, this is very appealing. It’s a different way to tell a Star Wars type story with rules that incorporate more of a dramatic roleplaying element than just crunching numbers. Here’s a bit from their Kickstarter:

In Galactic & Going Rogue, two beloved tabletop roleplaying games of rebellion in space are finally coming to print in a new third edition, with both games now bound together in one fully illustrated, full-color 5.5″x8.5″ hardcover with all new art and layout. Whether you’re the charming heroes ofGalactic, inspired by the classicStar Wars trilogies, or the tragic martyrs of the Rogue One and Andorinspired Going Rogue, these games have everything you need to tell your story of resistance, relationship, and galaxy-spanning adventure.

If that sounds like a good time (why wouldn’t it?!) then check out the Kickstarter.
