So the other day I made a post about how a book I worked on was nominated for a 2025 ENNIE award, but I was not mentioned in the nomination and therefore I was not technically nominated.
Well, after making a big deal about that book, Uncle Ernie’s A.R.M. Summer Catalog, and telling everyone to go vote for it, I got a shocking Discord message from my pal Emma (and fellow indie ttrpg creator) that said, “do you even know you’re in the Fan Award for Best Publisher?”
No, in fact I did not know that.
I was never notified of such a thing. I immediately rushed to the ENNIEs website, thinking it was some sort of elaborate prank, but nope, there it was. Table Cat Games is in the Fan Award for Best Publisher category. I believe the best description I have for my reaction was that I was flabbergasted.

This is an incredible honor and I’m really grateful for whomever nominated me. It is yet another validation that I’m heading in the right direction with Table Cat Games. I just have to keep working at it.
I honestly have no hope of actually winning the award though. If you look through the list there’s literally the biggest names in tabletop role playing game publishing. I may have some sort of hope in an “indie best publisher” category, but not in something like this. No, I’m not complaining, I’m being realistic. There’s no way I’m getting more votes than Wizards of the Coast.
Still, if you like Table Cat Games and what we’re doing, please consider voting for us. And also vote for Uncle Ernie’s A.R.M. Summer Catalog in the “Best Monster or Adversary” category. In a way, I’m sort of nominated for two ENNIEs…
