I’m extremely excited to share that Monster Truckers is finally live on Backerkit. Monster Truckers is my next game featuring semi truck driving monsters.

Monster Truckers is a tabletop roleplaying game that features the players taking the roles of the truck driving monsters who are exploring this post apocalyptic region called, the Worstlands.

The central premise is that monsters (think classic movie types) had lost a war with humanity sometime in the past. The humans used some really nasty weapons that wrecked the world and also robbed the monster folk of a lot of their supernatural gifts. The humans essentially made the monsters their serfs and forced them to do all the dirty and terrible jobs they didn’t want to. Monsters only recently formed the Monster Truckers Guild and are free to explore the Worstlands. Well, the monster truckers aren’t just making deliveries, they’re scouting for a new home and are looking to stick it to the hu(Man).

Monster Truckers uses the Tri Cube Tales system, a rules light, easy to learn, and low prep game system that leads to exciting and dynamic tales at the table. Designed for a traditional group with a GM experience, it can also be played solo using the optional Tri Cube Tales solo rules from Zadmar Games.

It also features some light journaling in the form of a log book and also mapmaking as players navigate the Worstlands. Players are also encouraged to report on the CB radio using the CB lingo guide included in the book.

It’s inspired by a slew of semi truck movies from the 1970s, old monster movies, shows like Adventure Time, a dash of Mad Max, and the author’s experiences traveling in his dad’s semi truck. It’s a glorious mash up of a strange and adventurous setting with a rebellious streak.

Back it on Backerkit, you won’t regret it!
