Street Wolves Kickstarter Update 1

The Street Wolves: Turbo Edition Kickstarter was a tremendous success, far exceeding expectations! But the table cats and I can’t just sit on our butts, we must fulfill the Kickstarter! So with that in mind, I plan to do fairly updates on this here blog.

Street Wolves: Turbo Edition Core Book Status

This is priority #1. I started refreshing the layout before the Kickstarter ended. I’m over halfway through the original book’s page count. However, there are a number of cool graphic design things I need to go back through and add. Plus it’s missing all the new art. Still, we’re really making progress to put us in a good spot for when I start getting in art.

I’ll share screenshots of the book as soon as I can, but right now without those interesting graphic design elements or new art it’s not super impressive looking.

Art

I got estimates for most of the replacement art and a few pieces of new art. It can’t be officially commissioned until the Kickstarter funds come in.

Music

I’ve talked to the composer, J, and we’re super excited to be able to work together on the custom music. We’re getting a full EPs worth of songs. Again, work can’t officially start until the Kickstarter funds come in.

Adventures

Bonus Adventures

I’ve met with Christian Nommay to talk over some prelimenary details and will be meeting with Candace soon!

Point of No Return

This is the adventure going to Legacy Backers. I need to go through the original notes and flesh them out for publication. I’ve tested this adventure several times*, but I’m going to make one more run through just to make sure. Layout, potential art and maps are further down the road.

*Fun fact: This adventure was the original one that came with the core book, but it was too meaty for that purpose so it got delayed.

Campaign: Dead Hand

I’ve met with Vince (the author) and we’ve worked out a plan on how to approach the writing. Vince already has some preliminary notes and has handed in some bullet points for the first adventure, which I need to review.

Merch and Stretch Goal Items

All merch is more or less on hold until I get the Kickstarter funds to be able to pay for stuff. It’s also a bit lower on the priority scale right now. My number one focus is on the layout refresh of the core book.

  • NPC Cards: On hold.

  • Wild Die: On hold.

  • Dice Bags: We have a bunch of these made already. Need to verify if we need to produce any more of if we have enough.

  • USB Tapes: We have a few of these made. Need to check supplies if we need to order more. We also need to have the books and music done in order to put them on the tapes.

  • Pins: On hold.

  • Stickers: We have a whole bunch of them already. Need to check to see if we need to order more.

  • Supply Boxes: On hold.

  • Bennies: We’re looking at making some very cool, thematic bennies. We’re in the process of getting some prototype items in the mail.

  • Pet and Vehicle Sheets: On hold.

  • Plain Text Street Wolves: On hold.

  • Printed Jumpstart: We have a bunch ready. Likely won’t need to order more.
